COUNTY SHERIFF

Legislator for the 2nd District, ANN WELKER proudly represents the residents of the Town of East Hampton and the majority of the Town of Southampton. Prior to her position as a County Legislator, Ann was honored to serve as the first woman elected to the Southampton Town Board of Trustees since its inception in 1686. Ann brings a strong focus on the natural environment to her role, along with a special passion for water quality. These priorities are reflected in her recent appointment to the Suffolk County Water Quality Restoration Board of Trustees, as well as her work on legislation to preserve working waterfronts in Suffolk County. Additionally, she serves on five Legislative Committees, including Health, Veterans, and Ways & Means. Ann would be honored to continue her diligent efforts as the Suffolk County Legislator for the South Fork.

Candidate for Legislative District 1, GREG DOROSKI is committed to a safe, strong, and sustainable Suffolk County. Greg was born and raised on the East End. A beer brewer, he understands the aspirations and struggles of small businesses and working families. His extensive community involvement and service on the Southold Town Board since his election in 2021 demonstrate his dedication and effectiveness. As your Legislator, Greg will protect farmland, open spaces, and water quality; he’ll stand with law enforcement to keep our communities safe; he’ll fight to lower the cost of living, housing, and everyday goods; he’ll boost infrastructure to support residents and businesses; and he’ll hold the line on taxes while fighting for our fair share of funding.

On January 1, 2018, DR. ERROL D. TOULON, JR.  became Suffolk County, New York’s 67th Sheriff and the County’s first African American to be elected to a non-judicial countywide office. Now serving his second term as Suffolk’s highest-ranking law enforcement official, he continues to work to serve and protect the county’s 1.5 million residents through innovative programs to reduce crime and recidivism, and by implementing sound fiscal policies. Early in his first term, he reorganized departments into multi-disciplinary teams focused on corrections intelligence gathering, violent crimes, gang activity, and human trafficking. In 2021, he was reelected to a second term and remains highly focused on using data and technological assets to capture crime patterns and ultimately maintain public safety across Suffolk County.

MARIA MOORE brings proven leadership to the role of Town Supervisor, having built on nearly a decade of success as Mayor of Westhampton Beach where she led the transformative revitalization of Main Street. As Southampton Town Supervisor, she’s applying that same leadership to advancing clean water initiatives, curbing harmful sand mining, and delivering a balanced budget that strengthens services and expands police protection while preserving Southampton’s AAA bond rating. Maria leads with honesty, hard work, and a respectful approach focusing on practical solutions to prepare Southampton for a strong and sustainable future.

TOM NEELY brings unmatched experience in public service, planning, and transportation. As Southampton’s Transportation Director, he delivered real results— lower speed limits, safer streets, and the South Fork Commuter Connection. On the Planning Board, he’s championed smart growth, environmental protection, and traffic impact review. With a background as Hampton Jitney VP and Chamber of Commerce President, Tom understands our community and how to get things done.On the Town Board, he’ll support clean water, affordable housing, traffic safety, and smart planning—always putting residents first.

MARK BERNARDO has worked extensively with complex teams and large budgets, managing them with great success. He is a three-time Emmy award-winning designer and has also won a Peabody award for his graphic design for television, motion pictures and commercials. He has the experience and drive to join Supervisor Maria Moore and serve successfully in the role of Town Clerk for Southampton Town. Mark has lived in Westhampton Beach for over a decade, where he and his wife of 43 years are active in the community. Mark is also a beekeeper.

SOUTHAMPTON TOWN TRUSTEE

JOSEPH MCLOUGHLIN has long served the residents of Southampton as a member of its Planning Commission, Historic Museum Committee for Restoration and Revitalization and most recently as a Southampton Village Trustee. For his many years of service to the Town of Southampton, Joseph was awarded The Southampton Village Intrepid Citizen Award. As a Southampton Trustee, Joseph will promote environmentally friendly zoning and fight for long term solutions that will protect our water and environment for years to come.

MATT PARSONS has worked as a Professional Marine Biologist for The Cornell Cooperative Marine Program and The National Marine Fisheries Service, as well as commercially harvesting clams and bay scallops since 2006. Matt has an extensive knowledge of our bays and their challenges through his time spent on them and under them. He is well qualified to understand what the bays need from us to restore them.

JIMMY MACK was raised in Westhampton Beach, currently living in Southampton. He has led a life of service to this beautiful community we call home. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of the Southampton Volunteer Ambulance, STAR Aqua Center, Southampton Village Ocean Rescue, and the Moriches Bay Project. He has served his community as a volunteer EMT for two decades. And now he wants to put his passion for the Hamptons, and its abundant natural resources, to work on the Southampton Town Trustee Board.

HANNAH PELL-O’FARRELL was born and raised in Southampton. She has spent the past decade working in Commercial Building Management and Maintenance, including the last three years in the public sector. Hannah brings strong infrastructure expertise and a deep understanding of public service to the Town of Southampton. Since a child, she spent her free time on the local bays, fishing or clamming with her father. She is a member of Southampton Village Ocean Rescue and has been a longtime lifeguard. Hannah is deeply committed to protecting our environment, and ensuring a clean, vibrant future for generations to come in Southampton.

SARA TOPPING is a deeply experienced water woman, an inaugural member of the Hamptons Lifeguarding Association (HLA) achieving national championship status in competition in her early years as a professional lifeguard. Now a mother of three with over a decade of experience in maternal health advocacy and education, Sara’s work as an ocean lifeguard, swim and surf instructor, coach, and climate activist, anchors her commitment to the position of Town Trustee. Dedicated to prioritizing and preserving our local maritime traditions, she hopes to demonstrate to her young sons the value of local activism by protecting our waters and shorelines and preserving access for generations to come.
