Ron Fisher is born and raised in Southampton Town. After graduating High School he attended St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue on a full scholarship, receiving a B.S. in Business Administration, with a minor in Spanish Language.
Professionally, Ron owns and operates his own sign shop, Fisher Signs & Shirts on County Rd 39 in Southampton. Ron’s love for civic advocacy started in 2012 and has continued this day. He is past Chairman of the Flanders, Riverside & Northampton CAC, and past President of the Flanders, Riverside & Northampton Community Association (FRNCA). Under Ron’s leadership, FRNCA’s membership doubled, and the group was awarded over $1,000,000.00 in grants.
Two projects that Ron is most proud of is bringing Adopt a Highway to Flanders Rd. Ron partnered with the state DOT and local businesses to bring the program to life and address the litter problem on Flanders Rd.
Ron also led the team that secured over $400,000.00 in funding to build a Western campus of the Children’s Museum of the East End in Riverside at Ludlum Avenue Park. Ron led a coalition of stake holders that worked with all levels of government to bring this incredible project to life.
Earlier this year, Ron left both of those positions in very capable hands to accept an appointment to Board of Education where he now serves.
Ron hopes to take his passion for water quality and civic advocacy to Town Hall by being elected on November 7th as a Southampton Trustee.
